music producer. recording artist. engineer. Researcher.
I am a musician-technologist and researcher focused on designing systems that extend musical expression through artificial intelligence and interactive design. My work investigates symbolic melody generation, real-time human-AI collaboration, and improvisation-supportive interfaces. With formal training in performance, production, and music technology, I approach AI as a creative partner rather than a replacement. I aim to develop tools and models that empower musicians, deepen musical understanding, and contribute to the broader discourse on computational creativity.
Research Interests
My research explores how computational tools can extend human musical expression. I am especially interested in symbolic melody generation, real-time AI collaboration, and interactive performance systems. With a background in music technology and composition, I investigate how musicians and machines can co-create. I focus on building tools that are not only intelligent but musically intuitive. I am drawn to systems that respond to the nuances of live performance, adapt in real time, and encourage improvisation across genres and styles. At the intersection of creative coding, music cognition, and machine learning, I aim to develop open-source tools and frameworks that empower artists and contribute to academic research in music AI.

Academic writing
These essays and technical studies explore the intersection of music, AI, and creative systems. Each piece reflects a different lens: experiments in symbolic generation, critical writing on ethics and authorship, and hands-on evaluations of AI-powered tools. Together, they reflect a growing research practice built on a foundation in performance, production, and system design.
Evaluating Parametric and Non-Parametric AI Models for Music Generation
This comparative study analyzes text-to-MIDI and text-to-audio generation systems using tools like AIVA, Stable Audio, and Suno. It explores how levels of user control impact musical coherence, adaptability, and creative utility.
Visualization-Based Audio Analysis Using Waveforms, Spectrograms, and Amplitude Envelopes
A technical investigation into how frequency, amplitude, and time-domain features can be visualized to interpret musical content. Conducted using Jupyter Notebooks, this study bridges signal processing and perceptual analysis.

Coexistence or Control: Ethical Reflections on AI in Music Creation
This essay examines the ethical implications of AI-generated music, with a focus on authorship, transparency, and consent. Drawing on perspectives from academic and industry voices, it argues for open, human-centered approaches to AI design.
Human-in-the-Loop AI in Mixing and Mastering: Evaluating Creative Control in Audio Processing Tools
Through experiments using Neutron 4 and Moises, this article explores how AI systems shape post-production workflows. It compares suggestive versus automatic control models and reflects on the role of user agency in shaping musical outcomes.

Analyzing AI-Based Source Separation Across Analog and Digital Recordings
Using Moises, this study compares stem separation results from two recordings—one analog, one digital—to assess how production era and signal characteristics affect model performance. Implications for MIR, remixing, and performance contexts are discussed.
Research Projects
These projects explore systems for symbolic melody generation, real-time human-AI interaction, and improvisation-supportive design. Each prototype reflects a hands-on investigation into how computational tools can extend musical expression, support co-creation, and empower musicians through intuitive interfaces.

Published Work
I study sound through creation. This book offers a close look at how experimentation, intuition, and production choices came together on Je T’aime, a project that embraces both artistic freedom and deliberate design.
Super Love: The Music of Je T’Aime
On a scale of “like to love”, Super Love is on the extreme end. It’s like turning it to 11 in terms of love. When something is great or excessively pleasing, don’t just love it, SUPER LOVE it!
Musically, Super Love is anything you want, as opposed to being stuck in a genre or sound, which can happen with bands. Some bands make the sound they make, but Super Love is just doing what they love. That’s what has been “the sound” of the band; whatever they want. That’s what is unique about it.
This book will gives you an inside look at creating an album. From conceptual approach and artistic vision to choosing technologies and effects. Dive into the process of creating Je T’aime.
